Safe Computing - Keep Your Operating System Current and Updated
The importance of updating our computers regularly cannot be overemphasized. People who have connected their computers to the network with out-of-date, defective software have had their computers infected or broken into within hours, and sometimes minutes. If your computer runs Windows 2000 or Windows XP, please keep your system patched with the latest Microsoft Patches from Microsoft Update .

Microsoft Update website provides updates for your operating system and office applications. This has replaced the separate Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Updates with a single location for updating both your operating system and office applications. If you do not have the Microsoft Update option on your Start Menu of your computer, please upgrade to the Microsoft Update before preceding. You may also contact ITCS Support Services @ 862-1302 or 862-1206 for assistance.
You will be given a choice between "Express Install" and "Custom Install" choose "Express Install" and accept all available updates. Reboot your computer if you are prompted.
