The college has been on the IIPS system since 1984 and is currently migrating to a new CIS system from Datatel called Colleague ( IIPS - Institutional Information Processing System CIS - Datatel Colleague)

Roanoke-Chowan Community College has a new Inter-Tel Hybrid - Analog/VOIP (Voice over IP) Phone system solution. The college has two different styles of phones, the Analog sets are SciTec STC-7003 and the VOIP Inter-Tel Model 8622. Please check the following for a list of phones supported by Information Services. This is only a partial listing so please be sure that we can support it before purchasing any equipment. The Inter-Tel VOIP model 8622 phones are located in the Administration Offices.

  • Provides function keys such as on-hook dialing, hold, message access, ringer volume, transfer, conference and forward
  • Extra switch port provides a second LAN port for peripheral devices
  • Provides red Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to indicate a call is active, ringing or holding
